Research Interests

Key research areas: arts, health and wellbeing (community arts participation and psychosocial wellbeing); ethnomusicology (music of West Java, gamelan, improvisation, music learning).

Research Projects

Halle St. Peters, community music project evaluation, Halle Concerts Society. £3,000 per year x 3 years. Only just commenced.

Only You 2.0, Arts Council England, £9,490 (through Axis Arts Centre, Crewe).
This was a creative composition project which culminated with a performance as part of a Halle/MMU music festival.
