September 2014-September 2015
"Nurses' knowledge and awareness of glaucoma management in care home settings"
£13,000 funding provided by Royal College of Nursing and International Glaucoma Association
The purpose of this study is to explore what nurses working in care homes understand about glaucoma and how this long-term condition can affect the health and wellbeing of older people. As there is little evidence about glaucoma management in long-term care settings, this study will generate baseline knowledge of formal carers’ knowledge of this condition and their everyday practice in relation to the care of people with this long-term condition.
