- To provide bespoke training for project workers in public health

March 2009-2012: ChaMPs Public Health Intervention Training in Pre-registration Nursing Programmes. A three year study which aims:
- To evaluate the impact of adding brief intervention training into the pre registration nursing curricula in the participating HEI's in Cheshire & Merseyside.

Projects funded and non/funded Involvement:

April 2011: HIEC Health at work project. MMU Academy for H&WB Collaborative project with the UOS. This project will lead to:
- the development of an effective management tool for positive mental well-being and musculoskeletal intervention which has been piloted in several workplaces
- an organisational development approach for managing positive mental health and musculoskeletal intervention in a challenging economic climate

Sept 2010-201: MMU collaborative research with UCLAN. Preventing and minimising Gambling related harm in Higher Education settings. The aims of the project are to:
- Develop and raise levels of awareness of gambling as an issue for higher education.
- Provide resources to support students and staff which will minimise and prevent gambling-related harm in universities.

May 2010-2011: Seed Corn funding for further development of fellowship web based public Health programme. The project aims:
- To develop on line/web based inter-professional module on Health Needs Assessment. Sept 2009-May2010: PHORUS (Public Health Open Resources for the University Sector) Delphi study: The project aim
